Panthers announce 2019 preseason schedule

As we await the anticipated release of the 2019 regular-season schedule, the National Football League has teased at least part of its big reveal by announcing Tuesday the complete 65-game schedule for the 2019 preseason. The Giants did them a year ago with the Detroit Lions so this would be something the Giants could be open to doing. That game marks the fourth time in five years the team concludes the preseason with a trip to Levi's Stadium.

While we already knew one, the Rams announced their full slate of preseason opponents on Tuesday. In fact, the Raiders opened up their 2018 regular season campaign against the Rams, who ended their season in the Super Bowl. The team has an extra exhibition contest this summer because they will play in the Hall of Fame Game.

Then again, the last time the Jets and Giants played (in 2015), they met in preseason Week 3, as they usually do. Longtime sports broadcast veteran and Browns fan Jay Crawford and former Browns quarterback Tim Couch will return for their second season of work calling the games on News 5 local television broadcast. The two teams have played every year in the preseason since 2014. The 2019 NFL Draft is only a few weeks away, and holding three first round picks, expect the Raiders to dominate the narrative going in.

Other than the Hall of Fame game, the only game that has a set time and date is the week two matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.
