R. Kelly back in custody for failing to pay child support

The parents of 23-year-old Savage said at a news conference on Wednesday they had not seen their daughter in person for two years. After the interview, one of the young women who now lives with Kelly spoke with her family for the first time in years.

Cook County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ that R. Kelly's headed to jail for failure to pay child support.

Kelly denied the allegations in an emotional interview with "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King. His defense attorney, Steve Greenberg, followed soon after.

A spokesperson for the Cook County Sherriff's Office confirms to ET that the 52-year-old singer is being transported to Cook County Jail to be booked.

If convicted, Kelly faces three to seven years in prison for each count. "I gave you 30 years of my f-cking career", R. Kelly said during the interview.

Kelly, who didn't say anything audible, pulled off the shades as he walked into Judge Lori Rosen's courtroom on the lower level of the Daley Center.

Kelly, out on bail following his February 22 arrest in Chicago, said earlier in the interview that he had done "lots of things wrong" when it comes to women, but said he has apologized.

"Everybody says something bad about me".

Savage and Clary's full interview airs Friday. We have never asked R. Kelly for money. Her dad Timothy told Sister Circle in June 2018, "My daughter is suffering from herpes right now and she was given that disease from [sic] R. Kelly, because I took her to the doctor and found out she had chlamydia". Griggs said Wednesday that "at no point did this family sell their daughter to anyone or provide their daughter for anything for money".

Kelly claimed Jocelyn Savage and Azriel Clary were sold to him by their parents.

R. Kelly is under arrest once again.

"I'm talking about the other cases where women have come forward and said: 'R".

"Use your common sense", he continued, raising his voice and turning to address the camera.

"You guys don't know the truth". How stupid would it be for me, with my insane past and what I've been through - oh right now I just think I need to be monster, hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don't let them eat, don't let them out, unless they need some shoes down the street from their uncle!

Prosecutors also alleged that Kelly solicited an underage girl outside his 2008 criminal trial and later sexually abused her; that he carried on a yearlong sexual relationship with a girl he had met in 1998 when she was celebrating her 16th birthday; and that he videotaped himself having sex with a young girl at his home in Olympia Fields in the late 1990s.
