Klay Thompson calls out Warriors fans for not doing better job

He's only missed one game all season, when he sat out the end of a back-to-back in Orlando two weeks ago for rest.

Those are fair assessments from Golden State's sharpshooter and coach, given Phoenix has totaled 16 wins in 68 games and was on the second leg of a challenging road back-to-back set. The defending champions weren't blown out like they were a few nights ago when the Boston Celtics beat them by 33 points, but the team failed to secure what had been viewed as nearly a guaranteed win.

Kevin Durant left the game Sunday with an ankle injury.

The Golden State Warriors suffered arguably their worst loss of the season when they fell to the last-place Phoenix Suns 115-111 at home on Sunday night.

This is huge for those young Suns players.

Kelly Oubre chalked up 22 points and 5 rebounds while DeAndre Ayton had 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the win. He said he wants them to get up for games even when they're not facing the best opponents.

With 16 games remaining in the season for the Warriors, they have a tough stretch in the immediate future which could impact the playoff picture.

For a team who has lost more to this point this season than all but the inaugural team in the franchise's history, who's veterans of the roster - namely Devin Booker and T.J. "And we've been playing a lot of basketball for five years now so you're not going to be ideal for 82 games - we've had too many missteps but at the end of the day, that's the first time we've lost to that team in 19 games So it's ugly but".

He added, "I don't know how somebody misconstrued that".

The Suns hadn't beaten the Warriors since November 2014, and hadn't won in Oakland since February 2011. And a victory like last night's is one that will help carry the core in that direction if they are only given the help at the two lacking positions that they so desperately need.
