Browns fans celebrate Odell trade with fireworks

According to the NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Cleveland Browns have completed a trade for Odell Beckham Jr.

The Browns will trade a first round pick, third round pick and Jabrill Peppers to the Giants for Beckham. They signed Beckham to the biggest wide receiver deal on the market last offseason after flirting with the idea of trading him for several months.

In Cleveland, Beckham will be reunited with fellow receiver and former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry. "I'm trying to process it right now".

Landing Beckham is his signature move, a signal that he believes the Browns are on the verge of a Super Bowl run. Why would Gettleman give up on a player with Beckham's talent, especially after.

The Giants have an obvious hole at wide receiver now, and the best pass-catching prospect in the draft is Ole Miss' D.K. Metcalf. They've already added Sheldon Richardson and Odell Beckham Jr. today, and they apparently aren't slowing down anytime soon.

Giants general manager Dave Gettleman said on more than one occasion that the team was not looking to trade OBJ. For the New York Giants, it has been a double-sided spear - on one side, they're missing out on impactful options, and on the other, they're watching the price-tag for players sky-rocket.

It's not a bad dream, New York Giants fans. The 23-year-old Paramus Catholic High School (N.J.) product had 79 tackles, one interception, three fumble recoveries and a sack last season.

But the Giants have three of the top 37 draft picks in April, and 12 overall. If you want to rebuild without Odell, you don't sign him to that contract.

The fact that Cooks had 1,204 receiving yards to go along with five touchdowns and didn't miss a game shows he doesn't even compare to Beckham. The Giants lost the game 38-13 and Beckham was held to four catches for just 28 yards.
