Ramsey will earn an eye-watering "basic" salary of £400k per week before tax in Turin, according to the BBC's David Ornstein.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is leaving the club after 11 seasons to join Juventus, the Serie A club said on Monday as it confirmed the Welshman had signed a four-year contract.

The contract will be effective as of July 1 and will expire on June 30, 2023, Juventus said in a statement.

"In exchange for the player's registration, Juventus will incur additional charges for € 3.7 million, payable by 10 July 2019".

The Wales global has agreed a four-year deal and will officially join the Italian champions in July.

He leaves Arsenal after failing to agree new terms past year, with contract negotiations having broke down following weeks of talks.

The Wales worldwide has agreed a four-year deal with Juventus that is rumoured to be worth £400,000 a week, making him the second-best paid British player of all time behind compatriot Gareth Bale.

Ramsey published a statement on Twitter thanking Arsenal's "loyal and supportive" fans.

Wright continued by praising Ramsey's contributions in north London, highlighting the 28-year-old's work ethic and drive to succeed despite fierce criticism as a key component to making him a great player.

Ramsey wrote on Instagram: "You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there through all the highs and lows I've encountered during my time at the club".
