According to trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh, The Accidental Prime Minister picked a grip at the ticket counter in the evening of its first day release. But on the other end, one can blame the violent protest going on against the film for its poor box office collection. But since yesterday, the kind of reaction we have received is really overwhelming.

With strong word of mouth and positive reviews, the movie witnessed excellent jump in business on day 2.

Apart from Vicky, the film also stars Paresh Rawal as National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Yami Gautam as a no-nonsense interrogation officer.

Uri: The Surgical Strike collected a whopping Rs 8.20 Crores at the box office on Friday (Day 1) of its release.

Talking about the film, Uri: The Surgical Strike started on a good note at the domestic box office.

Actress Yami Gautam says as an outsider a lot of hard work goes into getting the right parts in Bollywood.Yami on Saturday shared a tweet regarding her latest release "Uri" and her performance in the film."Thanks so much".

The movie is based on the 2016 Indian Army's surgical strikes inside Pakistan as a retaliation for the Uri terrorist attack.

With the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, there have been allegations that Aditya Dhar's Uri: The Surgical Strike is an attempt to influence opinions on the ruling party.
