Fortnite Season 7 Launches with New Features, Locations, and a Badass Santa

The map changes are some of the biggest we've seen since the beginning of Fortnite.

According to Mustard, The Block ties in directly with the new Creative mode that launched in Fortnite along with Season 7 on December 6.

The next season for Fortnite has arrived after being teased earlier this week and it's bringing a chilly feel to the game.

The Submarine is deep into the new Iceberg Biome, right next to the last "S" in Frosty Flights.

To make it a little easier to travel across the larger map, Epic Games has added a couple of new ways to travel with Stormwing planes and Ziplines.

The new Ziplines have been added all over the map nearly wherever there are mountains. It lets you build your own Island and play together on it with friends. The map, for instance, is changing once again, and players have an entirely new Battle Pass to progress through.

As far as who decides which creations are good enough to appear at The Block, Mustard said that "we're going to all pick it together", which is rather vague, but Epic have already recommended players to post their creations on social media and use #FortniteBlockParty. From there the camera zooms out to a room of the cartoonish, now-iconic Fortnite characters watching it all unfold on their TV, when they get shocked out of their reverie by the major addition to Fortnite's new season: Christmas.

As of this morning, Fortnite season 7 is now live, and as ever a new season of Fortnite means a drastic change to the map, themes, and content of the game.

The game was so much different back then.
