"SNL" Recreates Kanye West's Awkward White House Trump Meeting

West and Brown's "lunch date" was private and off limits to the media, although cameras and reporters were allowed in Oval Office to ask questions for a moment before the lunch began.

Colin Jost and Michael Che are no Amy Poehler-who co-hosted Weekend Update next to Meyers for two years-but the trio wasn't lacking for material, seeing as how Kanye West recently showed up to the actual freaking Oval Office to spout some truly wackadoo nonsense with our president. During this informal presser, West launched into a speech about his feeling of liberation when supporting President Trump. "It's in no way a publicity stunt", Baldwin quipped, in character as Trump.

The spoof comes a week after Kanye West performed as a musical guest on the sketch comedy show only to then go on a pro-Trump rant afterward in which he urged the abolishment of the 13th Amendment.

From there, Baldwin (Trump) remains silent but viewers get to hear his inner dialogue, which consists of things like "poopity scoop" and "oh, this guy might be coocoo".

Saturday Night Live also took Kanye West-played by Chris Redd-to task in its cold open, but, as usual, the entire sketch was stolen by Kenan Thompson's facial expressions.

"Oh, this guy might be cuckoo".

"He doesn't stop. He doesn't listen to anyone but himself".

Baldwin as Trump welcomed West to the office, thanking him for giving him a pair of his sneakers ("They're ideal for me because they're white, they're wide and they're never going to be worth as much as you say they are", Baldwin's Trump said) and allowing him to make "one or two brief, lucid remarks". "Who does he remind me of?"

"I just don't like the way he talks". She commends Yeezy for being the first Black celebrity to seemingly befriend President Donald Trump.
