A statement from Celebrity Big Brother confirmed this morning: "Roxanne made a decision to leave the CBB house late last night after deliberating for two days with some sensitive issues she felt strongly about".

Pallett, 35, said the former Coronation Street actor hurt her.

The Married At First Sight star had grown close to Pallett while in the house, but he told host Emma Willis that he felt "played" by her.

Celebrity Big Brother has released a teaser for tonight's episode - which is set to include Roxanne Pallett's sudden departure.

Meanwhile, Gabby Allen said that Roxanne's story was "like a boy who cried wolf" before adding: 'I feel sorry for [Ryan], if he actually didn't mean it that way and we are being awful to him.

Lucy wrote to her 1.57million Twitter followers: "I don't think she is mentally fit to be in the house".

As for the other celebrities, Ryan Thomas is said to be getting £500,000 for his appearance while Jermaine Pennant is reportedly getting £200,000, together with Sally Morgan and Kirstie Alley.

Looking emotional, the star said: "I'm just a little bit in shock. Whether you meant to hurt Roxanne or not is irrelevant".

As this was going on, Ryan tried to take time for himself before Sally chose to comfort him, saying: 'Some people just want attention honey'. As well as Ryan's family, several Emmerdale stars also spoke out to support the TV hunk.

'She's an actress and she's fully sucked us all in and we've come here to tell you that you've not been alienated from the group'. "I promise you've got it wrong". "I'm thinking, that's not right!" "I need to go".

This caused Roxanne to say "Ow, that bloody hurt".

Pallett had initially told Big Brother that she was upset by the altercation while in tears, and she asked to sleep in a separate bedroom.
