Google Pixel 3 leaked video seemingly confirms wireless charging

That's exactly what appears to have happened with the Google Pixel 3 XL, with one of the earliest shipments of the smartphone falling into the hands of a Russian blog which was only too keen to spill the beans.

The leaked Google Pixel 3 XL units in the wild are telling us more about the device's photography abilities.

Some of the black market Telegram messages, with the contact info obscured. But that's information we either already knew or could make a reasonable guess it. Due to the sketchiness of it, 9to5Google originally wondered whether the seller may have simply been scamming potential buyers. This is hardly surprising given that Pixel 3 is expected to be the first handset to run the new Android Pie 9.0 OS out-of-the-box.

The Pixel 3 XL is unlikely to win any awards in the design department, with that XL notch likely going to turn off many prospective buyers.

Google didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

A number of images uploaded by a Russian on Twitter offer detailed view of the as yet unannounced Google Pixel 3 XL. The Pixel 3XL is rumoured to sport a 6.2-inch OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. We also get our first photo samples from the camera, a camera that is clearly still in testing through an internal dogfooded Google Camera app.

While the single rear camera is looking awesome, the front-facing cameras are looking really interesting as well. The back panel, the 3 XL is seen with a single camera setup paired with LED flash Right below the camera set up - in the middle of the back cover - there's the circular shaped fingerprint sensor.

The writer also posted photos supposedly shot on the Pixel 3 XL to his Instagram account, but there's no way to verify if the photos were truly taken with the unreleased phone. Those accessories are consistent with what we've seen in previous leaked images. Most of the pictures look fine to my eye, though. It seems Google is going for a thinner chassis, and is willing to sacrifice battery capacity to get there. Additionally, the Pixel 3 XL retail box comes packed with a USB-C to USB-C cable, USB-A to USB-C adapter, USB-C to 3.5mm adapter and also a wall charger.
